The New Inn Newsletter. April 2012
April is "Community Pub Month" and endorsed by CAMRA, the campaigners for real ale. Their website has lots of information on how you can support your local pub.
Check out www.communitypubsmonth.org.uk for more information.
As in previous months, we will be holding a CRAFT FAIR on Monday the 2nd of April(9am til 3pm). Stalls will include many items all crafted by local artisans and this month's fair will no doubt have lots of gift ideas for Easter.
EASTER (6th, 7th, 8th and 9th April)
Our opening hours over the Easter weekend are as normal and look out for our drinks promotions.
On Easter Sunday we will be doing an Easter Egg Hunt for kids (and grown ups!) from 12pm.
A small workshop will be available for everyone to decorate their bonnets and enter them in the competition, with prizes for the Best ones.
Come and join the fun!
TITANIC WEEKEND (14th and 15th April) From 7pm on Saturday
This year sees the centennial anniversary of the Titanic disaster. To pay homage to this iconic ship we will be having a weekend dedicated to the liner and its history.
Prizes will be given for the best outfits that match the theme and our good friend Geoff "B.F.G." Binns will be providing the music.
We will be serving Titanic Brewery's fine ales and cocktails with a nautical theme will be available.
Fittingly, members of the local RNLI will be raising funds for their charity and there will be a raffle on the evening.
BEER FESTIVAL AND St. GEORGE'S DAY (21st, 22nd and23rd April)
St. George's Day is not as popular as St. Patrick's Day (yet!) so we are hoping to get more and more people into the spirit of our patron saint.
Over the weekend we will be having our first Beer Festival and hope to have a vast range of Cask Ales, all brewed in Englandand at varying strengths of ABV.
Celebrate our National Day in true patriotic style!
Knights and Dragons welcome!
